As always, there’s a great lineup of entertainment in Fourways and this week it’s gonna be a-maze-ing! This is our pick of events.
Where in the mielies are you?!
Pack a picnic, round up the fam and take a drive out to Honeydew Amaizing Mazes on Saturday for their moonlight maze. The fun kicks off at 17:15 with your picnic and the sunset. An hour later, you enter the elemental maze with your team and torches. There’s an ice cream waiting for you once you finish.
Plan your big day
Getting married? Then you need to go to the Bridal Expo at Oakfield Farm on 26 and 27 January. Soak up the romantic vibe of this elegant venue and check out over 180 exhibitors to get everything perfect for your big day. There are loads of prizes, like honeymoons and even diamonds. Ooh! Bag your dream dress at an affordable price at the bridal pop-up sale.
Take a shelfie
This one’s for the book worms. Head out to Moors Castle on Saturday 26 January for the Readers and Writers Festival. If you’re a lover of words – reading them, writing them or both – come and soak up the magic of books. There will be plenty of books on sale, local authors you can meet, open mic poetry sessions and even talks on how you can go about getting published, in case you dream of writing a book of your own.
Your next page turner
Be one of the first to read the local novel The Bitter Taste of Orange at the book’s launch at Skoobs at Monte on 31 January. Based on real events, this novel by Adam Cain tells the story of a man at the peak of his career and life, until sinister forces collude against him to bring him down. The event kicks off at 19:00 and there’s a cash bar where you can have a drink with your new favourite author.
